It has been observed that they bed in the day within the timber. Then they look for food and feed at night out into the open fields. Because of their lean bodies and natural sin color, they could be hardly noticed as they are usually hid by the thick white crops of the field. You may not notice it but whitetail deer could be staying out in the fields most of the time. Aren't you excited? That means they could be good catch. But be reminded, these deer could be very hard to target and pin down. You have to be patient and determined when bow hunting for whitetail deer. Watch the edges of the fields. By doing so, you could effectively determine exactly where it is that the deer are entering into and leaving the timber. The mid-day is the best time to find the animals entrance trails. You have to follow back into the timber. You could start looking for main indications of their presence like tracks, droppings, bedding areas, as well as rub marks made on trees. Pick your stand when you find one. The moment you get to your stand, be determined and decided to always stay alert at all times. You have to avoid moving around so that you would not distract the deer. Of course, you have to do your best not to make any form of even the slightest noise.
